Making Contact with Your True Self
If you have been using the law of attraction consciously, then you have probably wondered why you have success sometimes but not all of the time. The problem may lie in the state of mind from which you are asking.
Just as an example… let’s say you are standing in your kitchen with a friend. You know that there are many bottles of water in the refrigerator. You turn to your friend and ask him or her to please open the refrigerator and hand you a bottle of water. Because you are completely sure the bottle of water is there, you ask from a place of total ease and expectancy.
Your true self always has a fully stocked refrigerator. So, if you ask from this place of total ease and expectancy, you are simply releasing something that is already there. And, you are releasing something that already belongs to you. You do not need to get permission to drink the water. You just choose to drink the water.
The problem is that if you are focused on your external conditions, and you don’t believe that you have a fully stocked refrigerator, then you are asking from a place of disbelief and fear. And, you feel like your asking as if the universe might tell you no.
You ask for many things all the time that you know you can have right now. Think about how you feel in those circumstances. Then, think about something that you don’t have any idea how you can have it. Can you feel the difference in your approach? This is the difference between having and not having.
The law of attraction matches your feeling tone when you are asking. When you ask in a pure state of knowing that you have a stocked refrigerator, you experience feedback that you have begun a creation in the direction that you have asked. But, when you ask from a place of feeling like the refrigerator is empty, you either get no feedback at all or an experience that your problem is getting worse.
So, before you consciously ask for anything, check in with yourself first. Remind yourself that the refrigerator is totally full. You’re just about to ask the universe for a bottle of water that you know is already there!
Practice this on some things that don’t really matter very much to you. Think of a question you can ask your true self to provide you with an answer. Feel the easy spirit in which you ask. If you can find this feeling every time you ask, even if you have pressing conditions, you will make contact in the direction that you wish to go.
